The original Shangri‑La website relied on dated visuals, inconsistent typography, and a rigid layout that did not adapt well to mobile screens. Users expressed frustration when navigating the site and understanding room options, exploring amenities, or quickly find booking information, resulting in a fragmented user experience.

Goals and constraints

The redesign focused on creating a clear, modern interface that makes exploring rooms, amenities, and booking options intuitive on any device. The project also needed to respect strict technical requirements: semantic HTML, responsive layouts using grid and flexbox, and live weather for Cancún in the site header.
